Zangetsu tells Ichigo that he can win, but he has to fight something inside him. This alter self wields Zangetsu, but Ichigo himself is given an Asauchi – a nameless Zanpakutou carried by Shinigami too weak to be in the Gotei 13. They fight, and the alter Ichigo wields Zangetsu in the most innovative ways. Ichigo prevails in the end as he asks Zangetsu to fight with him once more. Ichigo returns to the fight with Zaraki, now at full-power, much to Zaraki’s delight. Yachiru is visited by one of the CFC boys, but she doesn’t want to be disturbed while watching Zaraki fight, and she shows it. Ichigo and Zaraki’s fight end, Ichigo falling to the ground with an apology.
